Last Thursday (13), the first images of a polar bears born in the state capital. The puppy, who was named Nur, came to the world on November 17, 2024 and is the first of the species to be born in.

Daughter of the Polar Bears Aurora and Pilgrim, who arrived in Brazil 10 years after being born in Russia, Nur was recorded by cameras installed in the animal room. The images show the moment when the bear is born without hair and receives the mother’s care, who licks her and keeps her close to her body to warm her.
São Paulo Aquarium Veterinarians point out that the first year of a polar bear is a critical period, especially in the early hours of birth. Due to the fragility of the puppies, the team conducts daily monitoring to ensure the safety and proper development of the animal.
