A fugitive since the beginning of the week, the director of a day care center in Osasco (SP) who was arrested on the night of last Friday (14) on a highway in the interior of São Paulo.
Marina Rodrigues de Lima had an open arrest warrant, issued last Monday (10), for crimes provided for in the Statute of Children and Adolescents, the Penal Code and the torture law.
She was arrested by civil police at the time of km 19.5 of Júlio Dal Fabbro Highway, in Ibiúna (SP), about 70 kilometers from the state capital. According to the Secretariat of Public Security, Marina will undergo a custody hearing and then transferred to Osasco.

The director of the School of Early Childhood Education Joy of Knowledge was caught assaulting children from the day care center. The images were made by a former employee who resigned after witnessing cases of violence.
On February 7, Osasco City Hall banned the day care center. Mayor Gerson Pessoa (Somos) stated through social networks that the day care license was revoked. “In Osasco, we will not tolerate attitudes like that, whether in public or private schools. Our children deserve respect, love and affection, ”said the mayor.
The city reported that the nursery will remain banned until the investigation is completed and that it is offering psychological support to parents and children. The Department of Education is working to ensure that children are transferred to other municipal day care centers.
