As soon as the new US President Donald Trump renamed the Gulf of Mexico by decree to “Gulf of America”, the loyal tech companies of the United States, especially Google. In the MAPS app, the sea bay was immediately given the new name, at least in Trump’s home. Outside the USA, the app shows the name in the form “Gulf of Mexico (Golf of America)”.
