The Palestinian militant group Hamas released three more Israeli hostages on Saturday morning (15), in compliance with the ceasefire agreement with Israel in the Gaza Strip. The liberation came after impasse and doubts if the group would follow the agreement.
The hostages released today are Israeli Iair Horn, Israeli-American Sagui Dekel-chos and the Russian-Israeli Alexandre Sasha Troufanov on Saturday, according to the terms of the ceasefire with Israel. The hostages were captured at Kibbutz Nir Oz, one of the communities around the Gaza Strip that was invaded by Hamas armed men on October 7, 2023. Iair Horn’s brother Eitan was captured at the same time and remains in captivity .
This Saturday, Israel also fulfilled his part in the agreement and released prisoners. The hit is that 369 Palestinian prisoners are released, according to Hamas.
Yesterday, according to the Associated Press, the group declared that mediators of Egypt and Qatar are working to “eliminate all obstacles.” In speech, Hamas would have already confirmed that he would perform the release this weekend.
Doubt arose after the group’s statement that he would no longer release due to alleged violations of the ceasefire agreement with Israel on Tuesday (11). According to Hamas, Israel failed to allow Palestinian civilians to return to the north of the Gaza Strip and made bombing throughout the enclave during the truce agreement. The terrorist group also accused Israel of hindering trucks with humanitarian aid.
