The head of the US Government Efficiency Department, Elon Musk, shared on his official X, a social network that he owns, the publication of a user about the mobilization of the Brazilian right in the organization of street acts by impeachment of the president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT).
The billionaire’s post, which already has 13.7 million views, was shared by allies of former President Jair Bolsonaro who try to boost the reach of demonstrations against the current government.
Musk shared the posting of an X user who mentions a “national wave of protests” in more than 120 Brazilian cities. The demonstrations are scheduled to take place on the 16th.
According to the author of the post, who follows photos of the 2016 demonstrations for the impeachment of former President Dilma Rousseff (PT), “the movement is gaining traction throughout Brazil thanks to the growing signs of opposition to the government (Lula)”.
Opposition to the government began to defend Lula’s impeachment more emphatically in posts in X after the latest Datafolha poll, released on Friday, 14, which showed that the Lula government has 24% approval and 41% rejection.

The author of the original post also stated that the protesters are organizing themselves against what they believe to be a “erosion of democracy” in Brazil under Lula’s leadership. This is the same discourse that Bolsonarist parliamentarians reproduced in international entourage and at the meeting this week with the rapporteur for the freedom of expression of the Inter -American Commission on Human Rights, Pedro Vaca.
By republishing the post, Musk commented “Wow”, alluding to the greatness of the acts promised by the Brazilian right. However, the latest demonstrations convened by pocket politicians, such as the beginning of this year in support of the inauguration of US President Donald Trump, had no promised traction and attracted few people to the streets compared to past acts.
Musk’s post was shared by Senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ) with a call for his supporters to be present on the street on the date scheduled for acts. The parliamentarian also commented in the publication of the US Secretary that March 16 will be historical.
