How to grow mushrooms in the cellar
But for proper mushroom growing at home, you need especially suitable conditions. Ideal is a cellar where you can easily check the temperature and humidity yourself. Mushrooms need light for their growth. In the cellar, where there is usually no daylight, you can replace it with a UV lamp. Good ventilation is also important to have air space for circulation.
Proper ventilation will prevent the occurrence of undesirable molds. It is also important to remember that temperature and humidity should be adapted to the type of fungi. Ideally, moisture should be around 95 %. Furthermore, each species needs its own substrate for proper growth to make the fruiting bodies an ideal size and maintain their taste.
Whatever you decide on any kind of mushrooms, don’t worry. Growing is not difficult, just a little effort and time. Once you create the right conditions, you will be able to enjoy fresh mushrooms throughout the year.
