This flower is considered one of the most easily grown potted flowers. It does not require much effort, so it is very popular, although it usually blooms only once a year. Is your orchid already blooming? Learn how to revive the orchid and keep it in a wonderfully blooming months!
This method is suitable for even the most lazy orchids – they have no chance to resist it! Because of this procedure, they will bloom even in the middle of winter (which, admittedly, is a great achievement)!
It is not enough to take care of the flower buds alone – the foliage should also be noted to make it beautiful, healthy and bright.
How to revive the orchid?
- Remove the orchid from the pot and remove the ground from it. Do this with care to avoid damaging them.
- Rinse the roots thoroughly under running water.
- Then place the orchid in a tall pot (vase, pitcher, bowl) filled with fresh water.
- Place a flower pot with a lot of sunlight, about 2 or 3 weeks.
After this time, you should notice that your flower has begun to bloom beautifully! Now it’s time to plant it in the ground and enjoy the impressive results! However, keep in mind and continue to take care of it.
How to care for the orchid?
- Most importantly, do not overdo it. It is enough if you water the orchid:
- once a week (in winter),
- twice a week (summer).
- Make sure it has the ability to get sunlight, but not too much. In hot air, the orchid can even dry if you stand in the sun. However, if the lights are too low, the plant will not bloom.
Additional Tip: If you want to keep the orchid rings bright and healthy for longer, fertilize it regularly with special orchids. It is best to do this every two weeks during active growth period (spring and summer) and reduce fertilization in autumn and winter. Also, do not forget to spray the plant’s leaves with lukewarm water, which will help maintain the required moisture level and protect against pests.
