According to the Sinesp (National Public Security Information System) there was a 64.81% increase in the seizure of cocaine and marijuana in Acre in 2024, compared to 2023.

In analyzing the marijuana data, in all, 1,566 pounds of the narcotic were seized. This means four pounds a day.
The months with the highest seizures of marijuana were April (610 kg), May (335kg) and July (311kg). The smallest volumes were recorded in June (6 kg) and December (7kg).
Regarding the occurrences, there were 830 over 2024, an average of two per day. An increase of 18.07% in 2024 compared to 2023.
Cocaine, mainly from Peru, had a drop in seizure last year compared to 2023. There was a lower variation of -52.42%. 303 kilos of cocaine were seized, an average of one kilo per day.
Throughout the country, there was an increase of 9.45% in the seizures of cocaine and marijuana, reveals Sinesp. In the northern region, the increase was 31.89% for cocaine and marijuana.
