The president of the United States, said on Friday (14) that he expects to impose new to imported cars “around April 2”. “Perhaps, around April 2,” he responded to a journalist who asked him when he will impose new tariffs on the cars entering the United States.

“I would do this on April 1,” he added at the White House Oval Hall, implying that he wanted to avoid the announcement on Lying Day. “We will do it on April 2,” he concluded. Since the beginning of his second term on January 20, Donald Trump has introduced additional 10% custom customs tariffs on Chinese products and ensured that steel and aluminum entering the United States will soon be taxed by 25%.

Yesterday, he also promised to impose on the United States commercial allies the same rates as they apply to American products. Analysts warned that the use of Tarump of tariffs as a weapon for other countries to make concessions, from trade to immigration and drug trafficking, could change world trade rules.
