Died on Sunday (16.FEV.2025) one of the victims of the Maximus Confecções costume factory, which served the samba schools of the Rio de Janeiro Carnival Gold series. Rodrigo de Oliveira was one of 21 rescued at the scene and was hospitalized since then at Getúlio Vargas State Hospital, but his death was informed by the State Department of Health on Sunday (16.FEV). 
The hospital continues with 6 victims of the hospitalized fire. According to the unit’s management, a woman showed improvement and her health is stable, but the other 5 remain in serious condition.
Rodrigo de Oliveira was the only victim who died in the fire, which occurred early Wednesday morning (12.FEV). The factory worked at a rapid pace to deliver the carnival costumes, and staff shouted at dawn and even slept at the scene.
The Labor Prosecutor’s Office decided to open an investigation to check the conditions of making. The building was not authorized by the Rio de Janeiro State Fire Department to function and was banned by the Civil Defense after the occurrence.
The Civil Police are also investigating the causes of the fire and has already periodined the site.
