Quarteira hosts Carnival on March 1, 2 and 4, with the traditional carnival Corso taking place at Avenida Infante Sagres, from 15:00 to 18:00.
Under the theme “Animation Movies”, this year’s parade includes nine floats, six carnival groups and three views that promise a lot of animation.
On February 26, Wednesday, the party of the younger ones will be held, with a parade between 10:00 and 12:00 on Avenida Infante Sagres, starring the students of the schools and IPSS of the parish, wearing disguises alluding to the theme of this edition.
“This will be my last carnival as president of the Parish Council of Quarteira and so they are days of great emotion. It is proud of all our achievements for the last 12 years: we brought the children’s carnival, we have increased the number of floor groups and we endeavored to make the quarter carnival the best possible, ”says Telmo Pinto, president of that parish council .
The mayor adds that “the commitment of all, the Parish Council, the City Council and the groups, in the preparation of this party is the guarantee that this will be a memorable carnival.”
Organized by, with the support of the Loulé City Council, the event has free admission and celebrates the seventh art with music and rigor dance.
