Dona Chiquinha was a widow of businessman Joaquim Souza, one of the most influential traders in the municipality, also already deceased. The Souza family matriarch was facing health problems in recent months and, last Friday (14), was transferred from the General Hospital of Feijó to the Juruá Hospital, where he underwent procedures for rehabilitation of his lungs.
Born in Feijó, Dona Chiquinha lived all her life in the city, where she created her eight children and gained the affection and respect of all. Known for her kindness and disposition, she spent her life working on her companies, always bringing a smile to the face of those around her.
