A DO Hands on Sunday (16) an operation in at least four communities of Duque de Caxias, in the metropolitan region of the state capital, to try to locate and arrest the possible. The 60th Police Station (Campos Elíseos) was the target of an offensive on Saturday (15) to try to free the alleged drug trafficking chief of the community of “Vai who wants”, Rodolfo Morning Viana, aka Rato, and Wesley de Souza do Holy Spirit, his right arm.
The two had been arrested by civil police officers from the unit hours earlier during an intelligence -based operation. They would have a rifle when they were arrested. The weaponry was seized by the agents. The defense of Viana and Espírito Santo was not located. During the attack on the police station, held earlier in the evening, “dozens of narcoterrorists entered the police station in an attempt to rescue the cronies,” according to the Civil Police. Viana and Espírito Santo, however, were no longer there.
The two had been transferred to the headquarters of the Capture Division and Interstate Police (DC-Polinter) in the police city. The Civil Police reported that there was intense exchange of fire between police and criminals. Two agents were injured and were taken to Adão Pereira Nunes Hospital, also in Duque de Caxias. Both injured have already been discharged. The suspicion is that the attack was coordinated by Joab da Conceição Silva, appointed as one of the organized crime leaders in the region.
His defense was not found either. In the operation carried out on Sunday, the Rio Civil Police are looking for the suspects of involvement in the attack on at least four communities of Duque de Caxias: Go who wants, Rua 7, Santa Lúcia and Rodrigues Alves. There is still no information about possible prisoners. The institution also stated that it is requesting the transfer of Viana and Espírito Santo to a unit of the Federal Penitentiary System, which houses the main leaders of organized crime.
