The former minister of Silvio Almeida published on Saturday (15) a manifesto on social networks about the accusations that they led to in September last year.
“I’m alive, I’m still outraged and I don’t want compassion or ‘second chance’. I want justice,” he says in the publication.
In the text released on his Instagram account, Almeida says they tried to erase his story and turn it into a monster.
“They wanted to erase me. Deleting the respected teacher and so many times honored by the students. The diligent lawyer. The companion, the friend, the father. They tried to suddenly turn me into a monster, a man who has always deceived thousands of people, an ‘abuser’ of women, “he said.
The ones were carried out by the organization Me Too Brasil. The report involves cases that would have occurred in 2023.
Two inquiries were opened to investigate the complaint, one and at the request of the PF. The investigation, which has Minister André Mendonça as rapporteur, is under secret.
One of the victims would be the minister of racial equality ,. She last October. According to his report, Almeida’s “inadequate approaches”, as he defined, began at the end of 2022, when the two became part of the government transition group appointed by Lula before his inauguration as President of the Republic.
Almeida denies the accusations. At the time, he said that they would be “absurd lessons in order to harm me, erase our struggles and stories, and block our future.”
In this Saturday’s post, he says he will resume his public activities. He cites the return of his YouTube channel and the launch of a new edition, revised and expanded, of his main work, “Structural Racism”, as well as the launch of four other books.
“I will keep writing. I will continue talking. I will continue believing that this country has the way. I will continue believing in the Brazilian people. I will continue to advocate at a high level for those who can and can not pay me,” he said.
