The Slovak Hydrometeorological Institute (SHMI) informs about this on the social network. Although the air will not be cooler, according to meteorologists will be substantially drier, the temperature will drop faster and more pronounced.

In Orava we measured at several stations below minus 15 degrees Celsius with a minimum in Orava Polhora minus 17 degrees Celsius“Written meteorologists. It was also cold in the southwest, for example in the east of the Danube Lowland, there were minus ten degrees. On the contrary, in areas, where the clouds were kept or the wind was blowing, the frost was only weak. On Gemer and in Košice region, they measured only around minus three degrees.

SHMI is expecting stronger night frosts in the coming days. “Well not everywhere these conditions occur every night because Locally, the clouds will be kept, or a weak wind is blowing.
