Since the ceasefire agreement came into force, Israel has taken at least one additional air attack in the region.

The Israeli army claims that on Sunday it took a raid for “several armed persons in the Gaza Strip”. The Palestinian militant movement Hamas said that two police officers died in the attack and one else suffered injuries. According to the AFP report, TASR reports this.

“The aircraft (Israeli Air Force) has been hit by several armed persons moving towards units in the south of the Gaza Strip,” the Israeli army statement said.

“Two police officers died and the third suffered serious injuries as a result of an Israeli air attack … which occurred this morning,” said the Ministry of the Interior in the Gaza Strip, controlled by the Hamas movement. According to the movement, the task of police officers was to ensure the entry of the truck with humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.

According to Reuters, Hamas described the attack as a violation of a fragile ceasefire agreement with Israel, which came into effect on January 19. “The ministry … condemns this crime and calls on intermediaries and an international community to stop the occupation from the police units that are part of the civil apparatus,” the ministry stressed in a statement.

Since the ceasefire agreement came into force, Israel has taken at least one additional air attack in the region, AFP writes. This occurred on February 2, when the aircraft fired at a “suspicious vehicle” in the central region of the Gaza band.
