The Lethes Theater, in Faro, will be the scene of a special concert that promises a unique musical experience on February 28, at 19:00. Pianist and songwriter Svetlana Bakushina, born in Siberia and resident in the Algarve, features a fusion show inspired by folkloric themes of various cultures, enriched with influences from jazz, classical music and progressive rock.
The quintet that takes the stage has a voice, piano, cello, drums and saxophone, including unexpected instruments such as a Toy-piano and a modular synthesizer. The event has the support of Radio Antena 2.
Svetlana Bakushina Fusion Project, which has won the algarve audience with exhausted concerts, features original compositions marked by complexity and incorporation of improvisation elements.
Leads the band, accompanied by the Mexican cellist and drummer Algarvio, who constitute the core of the project. For this concert, guest artists are joined, including the Chilean singer and the saxophonist. The German artist will contribute to the experimental atmosphere of the show with his performance in the modular synthesizer.
