Trump says he wants US to take control of the Gaza Strip and rebuild it

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu promised on Sunday to “finish work” against Iran with the support of US President Donald Trump.

Netanyahu spoke alongside US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who has been visiting Israel on his first official trip to the region since taking office.

“In the last 16 months, Israel has struck a hard blow to Iran’s terrorist axis. Under the strong leadership of President Trump, I have no doubt that we can and we will finish the work,” said Netanyahu.

Rubio added that “there can never be a nuclear Iran.”

“It is important to stress constantly that, whether we speak of Hamas or Hezbollah, whether we talk about violence in West Bank, or talk about destabilization in Syria, we speak of any of these Iraqi militias issues, all of them have a common theme behind – Iran, ”said Rubio.

“This has to be approached,” he defended.

US intelligence agencies have recently warned Biden and Trump administrations that Israel will probably try to attack essential facilities for the nuclear program of Iran this year, according to sources familiar with the evaluations.

Israel’s desire to use military force against President Donald Trump’s current desire for a Tehran Peace Agreement, and recent US intelligence warns that major Iranian nuclear facilities can increase the risk of a broader war in Middle East.

Generally speaking, Israel also continues to pursue the widest goal of provoking a regime change in Iran, according to one of the recent US secret services reports.

The Israeli leader said he has a common strategy with Trump about Gaza and his future, promising to open the “gates of hell” if all hostages are not released.

Trump proposed this month that the US “took care” of Gaza and moving the Palestinians out of the devastated track permanently, triggering a storm of protests.

“It may have shocked and surprised many,” Rubio took over in reference to the plan, “but what can not continue is the same cycle in which we repeat times without account and end up exactly in the same place.”

Netanyahu said on Sunday that he knew the plan before the US president announced him.

“It was not a surprise, we knew and discussed previously,” said Israeli Prime Minister.

Speaking to leaders of American Jewish organizations, Netanyahu said this was “the only viable plan to allow a different future for the people of Gaza, Israel and the region.”

Pump

Rubio’s trip coincided with sending the US from a pump loading to Israel. The ammunition were sent after the Trump administration canceled the suspension of deliveries, the Israeli Ministry of Defense said on Sunday.

Israel’s Minister of Defense, Israel Katz, said the MK-84 loading “represents a significant asset to the Air Force and IDF and serves as further proof of the strong alliance between Israel and the United States.” Katz thanked Trump and US administration for his “unshakable support.”

The sending of ammunition by the new government reverses one of the few decisions of the Biden era designed to influence Israel during his war in Gaza. The former president restricted the delivery of these bombs by Fear that they could be used indiscriminately by the military of Israel in densely populated areas of Gaza.

Despite causing tensions between Biden and Netanyahu, the measure did not give major changes in war. Neither significantly improved Biden’s position among war critics, who advocated significantly more strict restrictions on Israel’s sale of weapons.

The head of the Gaza Government Social Communication Office, Salama Maroof, criticized the US decision of sending heavy bombs. “Instead of sending food, medicines, water, shelters and building materials to the victims of the Gaza Strip, even for humanitarian reasons, the United States of America, the first democracy in the world and the pioneer of human rights, as described Themselves support the army of criminal occupation with 1800 heavy bombs MK, ”criticized Maroof.

Rubio landed in Telavive on Saturday night, where he was received by Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar in the first stage of his trip to the region. On Sunday morning, he met Netanyahu at his office in Jerusalem.

The day was marked by the release of three Israeli hosts by Hamas and the liberation of hundreds of Palestinian prisoners and detainees by Israel, as part of a US mediated ceasefire agreement, although the fragile nature of the truce was again underlined on Sunday , when Hamas stated that an Israeli attack killed three police in Gaza, in terms of “severe violation.”

This Monday, there were also 500 days of captivity for hostages captured on October 7. In the morning, family members and supporters organized a small protest in front of the US Embassy in Telavive, appealing to Trump to continue to insist on the return of all hostages.

The second phase of the agreement will be discussed with Netanyahu’s political security office. Conversations about the second phase should have started two weeks ago. However, an Israeli delegation will move to Cairo to discuss the first phase of the agreement.

After a phone call with Netanyahu and high -up and Qatar responsible – the other mediating countries – the US envoy to the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, told Fox News on Sunday that he was confident that phase two of the agreement would be realized.

The second phase of the ceasefire would include the return of 19 Israeli Defense Forces soldiers, which the US believes to be alive, as well as others, including the American citizen Edan Alexander.
