President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva (PT) said on Monday (17) that the population should be well informed about who are responsible for the price of fuel to “know who cursing”.
In an event on advertising ads to the naval industry and expansion of the Petrobras System fleet, the president spoke about the difference in fuel prices when they leave refineries and when they reach consumers.
“When the increase comes out, the people think it is Petrobras that has increased and is not always Petrobras, because each state and each port is free to increase the time they want,” he said.
The president also pointed out the difference in taxation between states as one of the factors that lead to higher values. “The people pay the triple price they leave Petrobras,” he said.
“It is important to inform the population of this, for the people to know who cursing when the price increases, for the people to know who the mother of this is,” said the chief executive.
Lula also mentioned direct sale to large consumers as a strategy to be adopted by the oil company.
“I think Petrobras has to take action, especially diesel oil, you have spoken to me once, we need to sell to big consumers directly, if you can buy straight, so we can cheaper the price of diesel.” , argued.
“The people are, in the background, in the end, robbed by the intermediary and the fame is on the back of the government,” concluded the president.
