On Sunday, a man who had to be hospitalized after Wednesday’s fire in a costume factory factory for carnival in Rio had died as a result of injury. This is reported to TASR, according to the AFP report.
According to firefighters in the factory in the north of the city, the employees worked in a building with flammable materials in dangerous conditions. They saved 21 people from the building and nine of them ended up in a hospital with serious injuries.
The factory worked continuously to complete the costumes for Samba schools before the start of the carnival parade. Some workers slept directly in the building to save time spent transporting to the factory. In the factory they produced costumes for three different Samba schools. Carnival in Rio is known for its opulent costumes and escorts in the rhythm of samba. This year starts on February 28 and will run until 8 March.
