The Slovak Hydrometeorological Institute (SHMI) issued a first -level warning for low temperatures for some districts of Slovakia. In several districts of the Banská Bystrica, Trenčín, Košice, Prešov and Žilina regions, temperatures of up to minus 17 degrees Celsius must be expected until 23.00. SHMI informed about it on his website.
As the SHMI specified, low temperature poses a potential danger to human health and physical activities in exteriors. “The expected frost is not rare at a given time of year and area, but it can cause health damage,” he added.
