You can grow basil without earth. You don’t even need a pot

1. – Cut a healthy branch of basil about 10 cm long. Remove the lower leaves, leaving only a few tops.
2. Placing the seedling in water – put the stem in a jar of water (the lower part of the stem should be immersed, but the leaves cannot touch the water).
3. Plant stabilization – if the seedling tilts, use expanded clay or mineral wool to support it.
4. Appropriate setting – Basil needs about 6-8 hours of light a day. You can put it on the windowsill or use the lamp for plants.
5. Regular care – replace water every 5-7 days to avoid rotting roots. Every 2-3 weeks, add a little fertilizer.

After about two weeks, basil should release the roots and start growing intensively.

For successful cultivation, the most important is light – provide the basil of at least 6 hours of daylight. Take care of water purity (replace it regularly to prevent sludge on the roots) and moderately a libe. Avoid stuffy rooms because the plant needs ventilation. Cut it regularly so that the faded leaves make a new place.
