Calema and I Love Ball Funk join the Mar Quer Me Quer Festival Poster in Portimão

The Mar Me 2025 festival returns to the Portimão riverside area between August 13 and 15 and has just announced two more confirmations on the poster: the Calema duo and the I Love Baile Funk animation project, which will play in the first of three days of the event. While the calema bring the fusion between African music and the Lusophone pop, the I Love Ball Funk promise to turn the enclosure into an authentic party to the sound of Brazilian funk.

The duo Calema, composed by the brothers Fradique and António Mendes Ferreira, began their career in 2009, releasing the following year the first album, “Ni Mondja Anguene”. The albums “Bomu Kêlê” (2014), “Our Time” (2017), “Yellow” (2020) and “Voyage Part II” (2024) followed their presence on the Luso African music scene concerts across the country.

With great topics such as “Te Amo” (2020), “Our Tice” (2017), “Everything for Love” (2015) – in collaboration with Kataleya – and “Love by Half” (2024), Calema highlights -If for versatility and collaborations with artists such as Mariza, Soraia Ramos and Nuno Ribeiro. The duo promises to bring Portimão audience to a true “voyage” for their greatest hits.

Already the I Love Baile Funk, project led by MC Gonçalo Roque and DJ André Henriques, emerged in 2019 and has since been present at parties and events with an explosive music selection. Known for their charisma and energy, they will turn the festival into a true funk ball, bringing the biggest hits of its kind directly from Brazil.

These confirmations join the artists already announced: Dillaz (August 13), Plutonio, Soraia Ramos and Insert Coin (August 15) and Weasel, who takes the stage on August 14.

Tickets are already on sale at MEO Blueticket and FNAC physical tickets, Worten, El Corte Inglés, among other points of sale. The general pass for the three days costs € 54, while the pass for August 13 and 14 or 14 and 15 costs € 37. The pass for August 13 and 15 can be purchased for 25 €. Daily tickets for August 13 and 15 cost 15 €, while the ticket for August 14 has a value of 25 €.
