An Argentine federal judge has in his hands the first complaint against President Javier Milei for alleged fraud, after promoting a cryptocurrency that would have generated major losses to investors and seriously harmed his reputation.
Judge María Servini was selected on Monday, 17, by the Federal Chamber of Buenos Aires to take care of the complaint presented over the weekend by economist Claudio Lozano, head of the Popular Unidad Party.
Lozano accused the far right leader of having formed an illicit association to commit a fraud that affected tens of thousands of people, “with losses of over $ 4 billion.”

Political activists and lawyers also made accusations against Milei before the criminal justice system. The libertarian president promoted on Friday, in his X account, the $ Libra cryptocurrency, which kintupoupted in value before collapsing and causing major losses to thousands of investors.
