In the kitchen of the Middle East and in the Mediterranean (Greece, Turkey), Kataifi often uses to prepare sweet and salty dishes. The dough is wrapped around the walnut filling and then fry. It is then soaked in a sugar or almond syrup, creating a crispy layer. In our country you can see different types of sweets with different nuts like the walnuts, or pistachio and almonds, in shops operated by Arabs.
Co is that kunafa
We stay in the Middle East, but with a finger on the map we swing to Lebanon, Palestine, Jordan and Egypt, for whose inhabitants Kunafa is a traditional dessert. It is a sweet pastry produced in three variants of different doughs. The first is a filo dough, which are thin plates of non -spilled dough prepared from flour, water and a little oil. The second option is semolina dough, in this variant is a pastry filled with cheese mixture and finally soak in a sweet syrup. And the third is Kataifi, which we described about a paragraph above.
What is tahini
Sesame paste made of crushed sesame seeds and sea salt. Its texture stretches and is slightly diluted. It is commonly found in one of the online shops, such as Dr. Max eshop sells 400 gram pixlo for 119 crowns and if you choose expression of distribution in Prague and Ostrava from Dodo, you do not pay anything for delivery. Then there is also the possibility of picking up at one of the branches of the Shipment or personal collection in the pharmacy, for which the e-shop charges only 19 crowns, which will cost today.
And now we will start preparing the Dubai sweet blockbuster. It consists of several layers, let’s say how to do them.
Cake
You will need 250 grams of mixture on the cake and prepare it according to the instructions on the package. It can be bought without problems in food in a paper bag. Pour the dough into baking or smaller sheet mold and bake in a heated oven for about 25 minutes at 175 degrees Celsius. Allow this dough base to cool in the mold.
Pistachio filling
Heat 2 cups of pistachio pastes in the microwave, and you can then mix better. Add half a cup of tahini and mix it all well to create a pulling mass.
Put a thin layer of melted dark chocolate with at least 70 percent cocoa content on the chilled base of the cake. Now it is up to the pistachio filling, use only half. You will need the other half at the end.
Cheescake filling
You will need 50 grams of cream cheese. Add ¾ cup of sugar and three eggs. In addition, one whole tablespoon of vanilla essences. Furthermore, the juice of half the cintrone and 1 tablespoon of flour. Use a hand blender to mix all these ingredients.
After you have spread a layer of pistachio filling, now there is a cheesecake filling. Spread it nicely so that bubbles do not form anywhere. To make the result velvety gentle, it is necessary to correct it in a water bath. So wrap the mold in aluminum foil and put on a baking pan with a higher edge. Place in a preheated oven, which is switched on to 150 degrees and on the top and lower heating. When the baking pan with the mold in the oven, pour boiling water up to half the cake mold. Leave the cheesecake in the oven for about 35 minutes.
We are approaching the end. Allow to cool for at least 6 hours. Then add another layer of dark melted chocolate on top. The rest of the pistachio filling follows. And sprinkle it with crispy dough on top of Kataifi or Kunafa. Now just decorate with crushed pistachios and the Dubai masterpiece is finally finished.
Bon appetite!
