The President (PT) receives this Tuesday (18) the president of, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, in the Planalto Palace.
Alongside Portuguese Prime Minister Luís Montenegro, they participate in ceremonies in Brazil throughout this week. Portuguese authorities should be in Brazil by Thursday (20).
The meeting is a return of Lula’s visit to Portugal in April 2023, his first trip to this third term.
Still on Tuesday, the two Portuguese leaders meet the presidents of the House of Representatives (Republicans-PB), the Senate (União Brasil-AP) and the Supreme Court (STF), Luís Roberto Barroso.
At night, authorities participate in a ceremony followed by dinner at Itamaraty Palace.
The President of Portugal has been in Brazil since Monday (17), when he served events in Recife. Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa visited the real Portuguese Hospital of Pernambuco, the Faculty of Law of UFPE (Federal University of Pernambuco) and the Portuguese Reading Office.
On Wednesday, Lula Eeo Prime Minister will lead the 14th edition of Cimeira Brasil-Portugal, a meeting that brings together leaders from both countries to discuss bilateral cooperation in areas such as Defense, Safety, Justice, Science, Environment, Commerce, Health and Culture . At the event, the signing of agreements is also planned.
