Performance is the result of a 10% increase in net revenue compared to the 4th quarter of 2023, being R $ 12 billion by 2024, although operating expenses advance 11%. Still, EBITDA – LUCRIC before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization – was up 8% and reached R $ 3 billion.

The company closed the 4th quarter with investment volume of R $ 9.8 billion in distribution and transmission networks. Of this total, R $ 5.5 billion was intended for expansion for continuous power supply improvement to 16.6 million customers of the group’s 5 distributors.

There was also a growth of 2.1% of injected energy, including distributed generation in the 5 distribution concessionaires, compared to the same period of the previous year.
Neoenergia operates in the areas of production, transmission, distribution and marketing of electricity. In addition to its 5 distributors, it has a 4.3 GW (gigawatt) generator park of capacity. In transmission, it operates 3,000 km of 100% delivered lines, plus 5,600 km under construction.
The company is controlled by the Spanish group Iberdrola, which has 53.5% of shares. PREVI, Banco do Brasil’s Social Security Fund, holds 30.3%. Another 16% have minority shareholders. The group operates in Brazil since 1997, when they won the privatization auctions of the distributors of Bahia and Rio Grande do Norte.
