Psoists also ask schools to offer a refrigerated drinking water to students. In the petition sent to the judge, they point to a data from UNICEF in which almost 250 children and adolescents had their studies interrupted as a result of climate crises.

The deputies and the councilman also say they received 975 complaints from public and municipal schools “without any air conditioning”.
In a note to the panel, Tarcisio management says it has invested R $ 300 million for the air conditioning of state schools -the network brings together almost 5,000 units.
“In 2023, only nine units had air conditioning in all classrooms. Today, this number rose to 595, and by the end of the year, another 405 schools will benefit, totaling 1,000 air-conditioned and fully functioning units”, states the state government.
The City of São Paulo states that it transferred R $ 2.3 billion to educational units. “With the money, municipal schools have autonomy for the acquisition of environmental cooling equipment,” says the note.
Management () also says that it has made adaptations of outdoor activities and recommendations to students and guardians about clothing and hydration.
