Why was the project not realized?
Although the story promised an exceptional film experience, it never managed to make it into reality. The main problem was Spencer’s older age – the image required shooting directly in the desertwhere it would be physically demanding scenes. After a thorough consideration, it was finally decided that such a project would be too exhausting for the acting giant.
Bud Spencer died on June 27, 2016, at the age of 86 in Rome. But his films still entertain us.
