Minister of Culture Martina Šimkovičová (SNS nominee) rejects the reasons why the opposition wants her in the National Council (NR) of the SR.. This stems from her statement at a Tuesday press conference before the start of an extraordinary meeting to the proposal for its dismissal.
“They’re going to dismiss me for the third time. I have read the reasons for my appeal and are more or less emotional than the factual nature, ” The Minister noted. She declared that the government’s policy statement is fulfilled within the field of culture. She refused statements on her person’s incompetence. “All institutions we constantly listen to lies are fully functional,” She said.
She drew attention to failures in cultural institutions under previous leadership. She also talked about linking the opposition movement of the PS to NGOs, which she said has been funded for years from public funds. “Now, of course, they organize protests against the leadership of the Ministry of Culture because they fear that resources have not started not to turn,” said the head of the culture department.
Opposition MPs for PS and SaS are behind the proposal to express the distrust of Šimkovičová. They justified this by its incompetence and inexperience. They talked about the decomposition of culture and failures of the head of the department. For example, they pointed out failures in the field of conservation protection, the disintegration of public service media and public funds.
