Where to go to a catastrophe? Lisbon has 86 emergency points in 24 parishes

Seismos, tsunamis, fires, and other natural disasters. It is with them that lies that the Lisbon City Council has drafted a list of 86 safe places where one can drive in case of emergency.

At the emergency points of Lisbon you will find bathrooms, drinking water available in drinking fountains, lighting and comfortable pavement. It is there that one should drive, for a security issue, but also of logistics.

There are in all 24 parishes of the county, and “ensure the necessary assistance in an emergency situation and facilitate the coordination of relief operations, allowing a quick and effective performance of emergency teams”, reads in the City Council.

There are 86 places, and are identified with a green light, where you read “meeting point”. The points are safe from large buildings that may, for example, collapse and constitute a danger of life. Together, they have Estimated total capacity for 600,641 people. Here’s all the emergency points of Lisbon, by parish (alphabetically ordered):
