Higher salary and flexible work are main motivations for change, says survey with 6.8 thousand interviewees

A, executive recruitment consultancy, has identified that 51.4% of professionals in Brazil are actively seeking a new job. The 2025 Salary Guide Survey listened to 6.8 thousand professionals and companies across the country, from positions to support executive positions.

The survey reveals that 27% do not seek employment, 13.5% plan to search in one year and 8.1% intend to change in 6 months.

The salary is the main motivation for change, cited by 86.5% of respondents. The hybrid or remote work model appears in 2nd place (56.8%), followed by benefits such as health plan and private pension (45.9%). Cultural aspects and opportunities for internal growth were mentioned by 27% of participants.

“The desire for change reflects a transformation in market priorities: in addition to competitive compensation, professionals seek flexibility, balance and purpose at work”says Lucas Toledo, executive director of Michael Page.

The study also analyzed the most attractive elements in new opportunities. The salary leads with 51.4% of mentions, followed by additional benefits (16.2%), company work and reputation model (13.5% each) and required technical skills (5.4%).

Lack of balance between personal and professional life is the main reason for refusing offers (59.5%). Low salaries and bad organizational environment appear in 2nd place (56.8% each), followed by inadequate leadership (48.6%).

“The differential is to promote an environment that combines well-being, flexibility and continuous development”says Toledo.
