Used vehicle market analysis shows which 20 models have the most falsified mileage.
Portugal, like other countries, continues to have a used vehicle market marked by Frauds in the account of water.
Every year, thousands of motorists fall into fraudulent schemes when buying cars with tampered mileage. That is, the accounting account indicates a number but the car has walked much more than those digits show.
And this fraud goes beyond statistics: the car is sold by a price superior to the real, appear malfunction unexpected (and unexpected costs) in the short and long term.
Carvertical analyzed historical reports of car bought last year and found that the Citroën DS3 was the most manipulated car in Portugal: 7.6% of the models verified on the platform had adulterated mileage values. Last year it had been OA to appear at the top of this list.

The Citroën DS3 also has one of the highest averages of manipulated kilometers: over 101,000 kilometers.
However, the model that has, by far, the largest number of kilometers tampered with on average is Seat Leonwith an average of almost 194,000 km. Follow Opel Astra (122 mil km) BMW series 3 (109 mil km).
“Taking the fraud of the accounting account is complicated, which leaves the burns with the feeling of being untouchable. Thus, to avoid counterfeit mileage cars, it is essential to always check your history. Sometimes, even the current owner may be unaware of adulteration, which occurred before purchase, which becomes an unpleasant surprise when marked by the potential buyer, ”explains Matas Buzelis, Carvertical Communication Director and automotive market expert.
Also because no car is totally immune to adulteration of the accounting account, warns the statement sent to ZAP.
