Jair Bolsonaro’s former joint officer, Mauro Cid, said in award-winning denunciation that former Army commander, General Freire Gomes, considered the possibility of punishing the general reserve general Mario Fernandes.

According to Cid, it was one of the generals that most encouraged the Armed Forces to act to try a supposed attempted coup in 2022 to prevent Lula’s possession.
“He was a general who was very ostensible, even on social networks. I was with the protesters all the time. Even General Freire Gomes even considered punishing him, because he was very ostensible in the pressure that was going to be done in the generals so that the generals could do something, ”Cid said in the statement.
