The presence of mold in the washing machine rubber is a common problem resulting from the moisture in this area. Accumulation occurs, above all, when the machine is not airy regularly or when frequent washes at low temperatures, which do not completely eliminate mold spores.

How to remove resistant mold
In cases where the accumulation of rubber mold is more severe, it is necessary to resort to a stronger agent to remove it, such as lixia. For this process, it must ensure that the division is well ventilated and wearing protective gloves.
The application of the brush to the rubber should be done with a cloth or a brush, leaving it to act 10 to 15 minutes before rubbing. After removal of mold, the surface should be cleaned with a damp cloth to eliminate waste.
To ensure complete removal, it is recommended to perform a hot washing cycle (60 degrees) with a vinegar cup or a specific cleaning product for washing machines.
In the end, the machine door should be kept slightly open to allow the drying of the seal, preventing new humidity accumulations.

In addition to punctual cleaning, some measures can help avoid molding the mold:
- Clean the rubbers regularly by removing water and detergent waste;
- Make a monthly washing cycle at high temperature with a specific cleaning product;
- Keep the clean detergent dispenser drawer without accumulated waste.
Cleaning the dispenser goes by removing the drawer and removing soap deposits and softener with a brush.
To avoid obstructions in the water spray holes, a long cable brush and a water-based detergent can be used. Finally, a vinegar spraying helps keep the drawer clean and without odors.
