Federal Deputy Nikolas Ferreira (-MG) said he sees the governor of, (Republicans), as the strongest name on the right to the 2026 presidential election in a scenario where (PL) remains ineligible.
The parliamentarian gave an interview to Sheet On the afternoon of Tuesday (18), hours before it on charges of leading a coup plot.
Nikolas said he would not rule out the possibility of a court decision that allows Bolsonaro to dispute the next election. However, he pointed out that, in the current scenario, Tarcisio could have the former president’s endorsement to run.
The Minas Gerais deputy classified investigations against Bolsonaro as a persecution, criticized the classification of acts of 8 January as an attempt to scam and said that the right -handed scoring is expected to vote on an amnesty project by mid -year.
Mr. Do you believe that once denounced, a Bolsonaro prison is possible?
The more honest you are in this country, the more chance you have to screw yourself. The Dilma [Rousseff] In fact, he committed a fiscal responsibility crime and is now president of a bank, earning thousands of dollars and with his political rights [preservados]. The, condemned in three instances, is president. Things are reversed in this country. Is it possible? Of course. What does this complaint represent to the right?
A persecution, of course. For me, in fact, it has no scam substance. It is completely fictitious. How is there no weapon at the event that is a blow? Isn’t there a hierarchy? No firearm was seized. There was no death, there was absolutely nothing in this regard. There was a crime of public assets depredation, as the left tired of doing throughout her history. So, or everyone has to go to jail at 17 [de pena]or no one has to go.
Police found coup planning and a murder plan. Wouldn’t that be enough?
There are almost a thousand words of “supposed”, evidence, and this weakens the indictment. Because for you to put in jail a person who will be 70 years old, who is a former president of the Republic, has to be something at least [no nível do] Monthly, right? Or perhaps because the person was involved in corruption and a friend of the person was sentenced to 400 years, as was the case with Sérgio Cabral. This, for me, is a certainty that there was a crime and a very strong evidence. So, really, did you try to get a blow? It makes no sense.
How is the negotiation with Hugo Motta [presidente da Câmara] To guide the amnesty project? Do you have any deadline?
We have a deadline expectation by half of this year. I believe we have votes to approve the amnesty. People are sensitized.
What mr. Do you think the proposal to reduce the ineligibility penalty of the Clean Record Law?
I disagree. The Clean Record, the way it is now, is used to pursue one side only. Bolsonaro’s crime is not comparable to the crime of corruption, bribery crime, finally. [Mas] For me, you cannot want to change a whole law simply to be able to benefit a person. You need to look at the whole and see the consequences. Why, if you are against the clean record, are it in favor of the dirty? For people, it gets very badly. I think the best way is to rescue his political rights [Bolsonaro].

I cannot doubt Brazil’s ability to do things that seem absurd to become real. That is, it is possible for Bolsonaro to apply. Even because, in the TSE, the boss was not the law, it was Moraes.
With the presidency of Kassio Nunes Marques at the TSE in 2026, could this change?
Hey, apparently the law is the judge, right? So why can only Moraes?
Could Kassio, for example, grant an injunction?
Yes. Didn’t the Supreme Court decide without going through the congress, what transphobia is a crime? Did you have any change in the Penal Code? It simply equipped with racism and voilà. So if the TSE minister decides, I say I think he has to be [na eleição].
Given the scenario that is put, with Bolsonaro ineligible, who is the strongest name?
I believe it is Tarcisio, proximity to Bolsonaro, for acting in the São Paulo government and its ability. Obviously, he will face some questions with the right, such as his relationship with [Gilberto] Kassab. The right has at least a resistance with these historical figures that do not bring us good memories. But I think [Tarcísio] An extremely trained person with the possibility of Bolsonaro’s endorsement of running for the Presidency of the Republic.
Could Bolsonaro endorse someone who is not his son?
He gave some interviews talking about Eduardo [Bolsonaro]from Flávio [Bolsonaro] and by Michelle [Bolsonaro]. In fact, I don’t know if it is his preference to choose family people or if he intends to choose someone out.
Mr. Do you think it had to be a more moderate name for the presidency?
The concept of moderate is very volatile today. I think he [Tarcísio] It has, perhaps, a larger traffic at the center. But the choice of this name will surely go through Jair Bolsonaro. There is no way to.
Last month, the former president made a speech that many saw as an indirect to mr. What mr. he thinks?
There are a lot of people around who will feel threatened, will be jealous. I care little. I never asked to have the number of followers I had. I never imagined that a video of mine would be the 24 -hour video in the world. And I never pursued that, it was never a goal. Everyone who has resulted here in this country will take a blow, even if it is yours. I don’t think this speech has been directed to me, but I know there are people trying to throw me against Bolsonaro. I have an extremely open relationship with him. Now, disagreement will always be, hey. This is how I treat our relationship, to be sincere, open. And each has its freedom to disagree.
Who are these people who try to play mr. against Bolsonaro?

There is a PEC (proposal for amendment to the Constitution) for the minimum age reduction for the Senate. Mr. Want to be a candidate?
It would be a privilege to be the youngest senator in the country’s history. I think the Senate would fit like a glove to me. It is a PEC that was Eros Biondini (PL-MG) that made and has collected signatures.
Have you talked to Bolsonaro about this project?
I already talked. He said it is excellent, even because we need to elect senators and I am a person who has a condition to add there in the Senate and get this vacancy. I am not saying that my victory is certain, I always ran far behind and I believe I would do my best to be able to achieve this candidacy.
