Members of the National Council (NR) of the Slovak Republic were not on Wednesday or on the second attempt of quorum in opening an extraordinary meeting to dismiss the head of the Envirorezort Tomáš Tarab (SNS nominee). Only 53 were presented as present. The plenum will try to negotiate a proposal to declare distrust to the Minister of the Opposition’s workshop at the next regular meeting, which is due to begin on 25 March.
The proposal was filed by opposition MPs from PS, SaS and non -attached deputy Ľubomír Galko. They argued that Taraba could not manage to manage its resort. They criticized, among other things, the dismissal of experts from the departmental organizations, the changes in the environment and the stopping of projects implemented in order to protect health. The Minister also blamed the inadequate performance in fulfilling the milestones of the renewal plan or reversing the reform of national parks. They also spoke of liquidation legislation, “papalism” of state secretaries of the Envirorezort and the inability to address the issue of large beasts. They also objected to the intention of the construction of the Málinec hylinder.
Taraba refused the reasons why the opposition wants to dismiss him. He described them as ridiculous. In this context, he recalled several steps and measures he has implemented since he took office. He said, for example, that he earmarked the most money to drain Slovakia and paid the most money to insulate home. He also recalled the assistance of the municipalities affected by the earthquake. He also declared that he gave historically the most money to compensate for large businesses, preventing the factory from closing.
