Former president was denounced by the prosecutor for alleged coup attempt 1 day after calling an act for the 16th
Opposition to the President (PT) believes that the complaint of the PGR (Attorney General’s Office) against the former president (PL) will bring more people to the 16 March.
On Monday (17.FEV), Bolsonaro released in groups of Whastapp a video calling supporters for demonstrations against Lula in several cities of the country.
This 3rd (18.FEV), the Attorney General of the Republic, Paulo Gonet, denounced Bolsonaro and 33 people involved in the investigation that investigates what would be an attempt to coup after the 2022 elections.
“The submission of the complaint will most likely make millions of people who would not go to March 16’s demonstration against this nonsense (…) It will be the first manifestation of several others that will happen ”Deputy Sanderson (PL-RS) told journalists in the House.
Mutius
The PL (RJ) deputy said he hoped that the defense minister, José Múcio, to witness in favor of Bolsonaro in any judgment in the Supreme Court (STF).
“There is no crime without the use of the Armed Forces, just pay attention to the detail of José Múcio. I hope that the defense of former President Jair Messias Bolsonaro, my brother, calls the Minister of Defense, José Múcio ”declared the congressman.
In an interview with the program RodFrom TV Cultura, he said he had to resort to Bolsonaro to be received by the commanders of the Army, the Navy and the Air Force.
COMPLAINT
The complaint was sent to Minister Alexandre de Moraes, rapporteur of the investigation in the (Federal Supreme Court), on the night of this 3rd (18.FEV). Also denounced the former minister and former vice on the Bolsonaro plate, General Braga Netto; and the former joint of orders Mauro Cid.
Those reported by Gonet are responsible for the crimes pointed out by the PF in the report of violent abolition of the Democratic Rule of Law, coup, criminal organization, qualified damage against the heritage of the Union and deterioration of listed heritage. In addition, Gonet filed 2 more crimes in the complaint: qualified damage with violence and deterioration against listed heritage. Crimes add up to 34 years arrest.
Read below the penalty determined for each crime:
- violent abolition of the Democratic Rule of Law – 4 to 8 years in prison;
- coup d’etat – 4 to 12 years in prison;
- Integrate criminal organization – 3 to 8 years in prison;
- Qualified damage against Union’s heritage – 6 months to 3 years; and
- DECLARED OF HERITAGE – 1 to 3 years.
Now the Supreme decides whether to accept the complaint and make defendants those indicated by PGR. In this case, they would respond to a criminal action in the court.
