The government () opened two bids to buy furniture and appliances for the Planalto Palace, which together represent a spending of R $ 1.7 million.

Both notices provide for the acquisition of items such as shoe polishers, drying machines, freezers, sandwich trees, tables and meeting chairs.

The acquisition of furniture concentrates most of the total amount: R $ 1.4 million. In justification for purchase, the document says that the goal is to “provide a process of acquisition with economics, effectiveness and efficiency, enabling the best use of available human, material and financial resources.”

Also, the preliminary technical study points out as reasons for purchases the full compliance with the needs presented by the Patrimony Division and Administrative Units of the Presidency of the Republic, “with the provision of quality material, culminating in work environments suitable for the provision of their service responsibilities “.

Among the purchases of more expensive appliances are that of two machines of drying clothes, in the total amount of R $ 71,513.60.
