The government () opened two bids to buy furniture and appliances for the Planalto Palace, which together represent a spending of R $ 1.7 million.
Both notices provide for the acquisition of items such as shoe polishers, drying machines, freezers, sandwich trees, tables and meeting chairs.
Only with 38 bustlers or electrical shoe polishers, will be spent $ 62,700. Already in office chairs – which includes swivel models and “president” style – will be $ 518 thousand, for the purchase of 264 units.
Still in office supplies, the list includes 35 paper fragments, which together will cost the public coffers just over $ 90,000.
In the list of items, 30 “solid wood” hangers are requested, totaling R $ 22,200.
The acquisition of furniture concentrates most of the total amount: R $ 1.4 million. In justification for purchase, the document says that the goal is to “provide a process of acquisition with economics, effectiveness and efficiency, enabling the best use of available human, material and financial resources.”
Also, the preliminary technical study points out as reasons for purchases the full compliance with the needs presented by the Patrimony Division and Administrative Units of the Presidency of the Republic, “with the provision of quality material, culminating in work environments suitable for the provision of their service responsibilities “.
Among the purchases of more expensive appliances are that of two machines of drying clothes, in the total amount of R $ 71,513.60.
In addition to these, there will be 31 freezers, 20 domestic and 11 of the duplex model (two doors). The total amount for refrigerators exceeds R $ 78 thousand.
The contractor is the Secretariat of Administration of the Presidency of the Republic. The public session to choose the winning companies is scheduled for February 27 at 9:30 am in Brasilia. The criterion of choice, according to the edicts, will be for the lowest price offer.
In the case of appliances, the document says that the acquisition will serve the administration “satisfactorily”.
Secom (Secretariat of Social Communication of the Presidency) issued a note stating that this is a price registration process for eventual acquisition of furniture, as needed by the administration, to meet all the essential organs of the Presidency of the Republic, including its Regional offices.
