“Come meet Albufeira!” -It is with this motto that were presented this Wednesday, in the noble hall of the Paços do County, eight promotional videos under the campaign “Albufeira all the year”. The initiative aims to make known the county to potential tourists, both national and international, and was presented to businessmen, journalists and partners of the municipality.
The mayor of Albufeira, José Carlos Rolo, stressed that the purpose of the campaign is to “communicate examples of activities that can be developed in Albufeira throughout the year”. The mayor stressed that this action integrates “a broader strategy, which has allowed to bring to the county several prominent events at the international level, especially in the sports side”.
The “Albufeira all year” campaign arises in response to the challenge of tourist seasonality, promoting destination as an attractive place at any time of the year. To this end, several promotional videos were produced that address different aspects of life in the county, including gastronomy, sport, night animation, hotel, maritime activities – highlighting Art Reef by Vhils, the country’s first underwater exhibition – wines produced in Region, the Caliços Market and the beaches watched throughout the year. José Carlos Rolo thanked the contribution of all who participated in the filming and was pleased with the final result.
The campaign will be released through the municipality’s digital channels, as well as on television and radio. To expand its visibility, the municipality is still betting on the placement of posters in Mupis and Outdoors in various areas of the country.
The vice-president of, Cristiano Cabrita, stressed the importance of this positive communication, stating that “it is a type of communication to face negative news that has come to emerge and that do not portray the reality that is lived in the county.”
The initiative aims to sensitize tourists to visit Albufeira at any time of the year, avoiding the traditional concentration of vacation in the summer months. Edil reinforced confidence in the campaign, considering that “it is quite appealing, it has credibility and adds value to the destination,” stressing that “we are a reference at national and international level and we are very proud of it.”
In conclusion, Cristiano Cabrita appealed to the involvement of the whole community in promoting the campaign: “We have a positive communication tool, so I appeal to all, journalists, entrepreneurs, collectivities and citizens, spread it as much as they can”.
