It launched a new complaint center focused on workers facing extreme heat conditions. This initiative arises in response to increased complaints about unhealthy work environments. Workers can register their complaints by calling (21) 98261-6266. Deputy Dani Balbi, chairman of the Labor Commission, emphasized the seriousness of the situation, stating that intense heat compromises both health and workers’ dignity. The complaint center aims to identify and map these critical situations, as well as pressing on effective actions.

Three bills were presented in order to offer protection to workers exposed to adverse weather conditions. Among them, two projects by PSOL deputy Dani Monteiro, who aim to ban outdoor work on extreme hot days and allow the decree of optional point at the state level. In addition, PT Mrs Veronica Lima proposed a project that establishes the state policy of facing extreme heat.
