In connection with Wednesday (February 19), the case of an unknown chemical in Bratislava’s New Town is a criminal prosecution. Michal Szeiff, a spokesman for the Regional Directorate of the Police Force (KR PZ) in Bratislava, informed about it.
The case is qualified as an offense of a general threat. “According to the information so far, during the execution of demolition work in the area of the chemical plant in the district of Nové Mesto to damage a pressure vessel with a length of one meter with a diameter of 30 centimeters. Subsequently, an unknown substance escaped from it, with which a total of six people came into contact with the summoned rescue service transferred to the hospital“the police spokesman said. He added that other circumstances of the case are subject to investigation.
At Wednesday’s incident, the rescue services intervened on the spot. Firefighters have taken samples on the spot, which they undergo in cooperation with the control chemical laboratory of civil protection for further analysis. Five men adopted at the Ružinov Hospital in Bratislava on Wednesday, who complained about impaired breathing after an unknown substance, one of them showed signs of disorientation.
