Câmara approves urgency for the project that changes National Simples

The House of Representatives approved, on Thursday (20), an urgent request for the Complementary Bill (PLP) that changes the, allowing the calculation of tax credits on export revenues of companies opting for this regime.

The request was submitted by the government leader in the House, José Guimarães (PT-CE). With approval, the text can be voted directly in the plenary, without the need to undergo committees.

What changes?

Simples Nacional is a simplified tax regime aimed at micro and small businesses. Currently, the legislation prohibits the generation of tax credits for these companies.

The proposal, which is part of the CREDA Export program, launched in 2024, provides for the creation of transient rules until the completion of tax reform in 2032. The objective is to encourage export, allowing micro and small companies to take advantage of tax credits on their external revenues .

Processing

The session that approved the request was conducted by the mayor, Hugo Motta (Republicans-PB), and lasted only six minutes. In addition to the urgency for the government project, the deputies also approved five Legislative Decree (PDLs) projects related to international treaties.

Despite the accelerated processing, Motta had previously indicated that he intended to avoid urgent approvals. However, the request was submitted and accepted during a quick meeting of leaders on the morning of Thursday (20).

With the urgency approved, the project can be voted at any time in the plenary.
