Senator states that the father remains as the name for 2026, but that the right may have other viable names to compete
The senator (PL-RJ) stated that parties ask for an alternative candidacy from the former president (PL) and that there are names “With viability” for that. The statement came to the newspaper 1 day after the complaint of the PGR (Attorney General’s Office) in the inquiry that investigates what would be an attempt to coup after the 2022 elections.
Flávio said his father remains as a candidate for the Planalto Palace in 2026, but admits that the right may have other viable names to compete. According to him, even ineligible, Bolsonaro will register his candidacy.
In addition, he stated that Centrão parties already work with the scenario without Bolsonaro and alternative names to represent the right in the dispute.
