Faced with the wave of excessive heat and storms in, the prosecutor Paulo Destro asked for management (), information about preventive actions being taken in the organization of the street.
In the letter, Destro questions, for example, what is the logistics and points of distribution of mineral or potable water and also the infrastructure of the bathrooms.
Free access to drinking water at major events is foreseen by federal law approved last year, after the death of, 23, during a Taylor Swift show in Rio de Janeiro, in November 2023.
The prosecutor also advises that the City Hall, the Military Police, the GCM (Metropolitan Civil Guard) and Ambev, the main sponsor of Carnival in the capital, take measures such as the installation of screening tents offering clinical evaluation, rest and hydration; climatic conditions monitoring; reinforcement of policing and signaling for waste disposal.
In the latter, says Destro, the goal is to avoid clogging of manholes and flooding of public roads.
Nunes announced on Thursday (20) that the carnival is expected to gather 16 million people distributed in 601 streets of streets. According to the city, 2.2 million glasses of water will be delivered in 158 tents. And in partnership with Sabesp, there will also be two trucks with tap and drinking fountains.
