The Vatican also added that “the polymikomicrobial infection, which resulted in pre -existing condition of bronchiectasis and asthmatic bronchitis – to treat cortisone and antibiotic therapy – makes all the treatment more complex”.
The Italian media emphasizes that “after this latest information, it is clear that Francis’ health is of concern.” From the Vatican, however, it is added that “the Pope’s mood is good, read a series of texts and prayed.” Pontiff, as the head of the Holy See, Matthew Bruni, pointed out all the people who show interest in his health “and asks, with a gratitude of soul, to continue to pray in favor of his healing”.
The latest information on Pontiff’s health states, in essence, confirming that his stay at Rome’s “Agostino Gemeli” Hospital will be many days. At present, all of his program is being canceled until Sunday.
