At least two parliamentary fronts support the initiative: FPBio (parliamentary front of biofuel) and FPEsg (ESG parliamentary front).

If the proposal is approved, the minimum punishment will become $ 90,000. The maximum, $ 20 million. Nogueira’s text also includes fines from $ 100,000 to $ 500 million for breach of greenhouse gas reduction goals.
In justification, the deputy says that the legislation intends to improve the quality control of fuels circulating throughout Brazil.
“By increasing fines and cases for penalty, the project becomes one of the initiatives already launched to curb fraudulent practices”, declared.
