SAO PAULO, SP (UOL/FOLHAPRESS) – Erika Yanira Morales was 17 when she took a bottle in the head in a bar during a two -woman attack. As a result, he had a multiple stroke and was quadriplegic. After three years, she fights for the right of euthanasia.

The sequels of morales have no cure. According to his sister, Tatiana Morales, doctors have always been transparent about the girl’s condition, making it clear that her state only tends to get worse.

Erika’s care is the responsibility of the mother, who has the support of health professionals. She lives in an adapted place and needs specialized treatment as she is aware. Being bedridden for a long time, she has lost weight and now has ulcer and pressure problems.

She can’t speak. To communicate with the family, it makes use of an alphabet. It was using the lyrics that asked the family to help you get the right to euthanasia.

Through Facebook, Tatiana published a text asking for understanding. “I ask respect for the decision my sister made. I support her as a show of love, just as she asked me. I just want to help you rest, even if you will suffer from it forever, ”he wrote.

Other family members also support Erika’s decision. A cousin spoke out on Facebook. “It is with pain and sadness that we accept your decision, cousin. You are the one who felt everything in these long three years and it hurts to see you like this. You don’t deserve it, ”wrote Dana Valentina.

The euthanasia request has already been denied by Passanar, Colombia’s public health prosecutor. The claim is that the request was not made by Erika, but by his mother and sister.
