GDP do Mexico falls 0.6% in the 4th TRI before 3rd TRI and grows 1.2% in the year

O Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of Mexico retreated 0.6% In the fourth quarter of 2024 compared to the third, according to final data released on Friday (21) by INEGI, as the country’s statistics institute is known.

The result confirms the preliminary reading, but contradicts the forecast of analysts consulted by FACTSET, of less than 0.3%.

In the annual comparison, Mexican GDP expanded 0.5% in the last quarter of last year.

Already in the full year of 2024, the economy grew 1.2% over the previous year.
