Homemade caramel popcorn is a unique snack, an addition to a film or an idea for a hand -made gift. A thin coating of sweet caramel taste adds a special crunchiness. The more that the preparation of homemade caramel popcorn is really simple – just roam the grain, pour them with prepared caramel sauce and bake.
Ingredients:
- 100 g of corn grains (popcorn type),
- 400 g of brown sugar,
- 240 g of butter,
- 100 ml of honey,
- 1.5 teaspoons of vanilla extract,
- a teaspoon of baking soda,
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
Method of performance:
Popcorn corn roast in a dry frying pan until it stops “shooting”. Transfer the popcorn to the bowl, rejecting unauthorized, closed grains.
Mix sugar, butter, honey and salt in a pot. Heat everything on medium heat, then cook for about 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
Finally, add vanilla and soda to the mixture. Stir until the foam forms. Pour the ready popcorn with a mixture. Mix the whole until the grains are fully covered with the mixture.
Spread popcorn in caramel on a baking tray, lined with baking paper. Put it in the oven preheated to 120 degrees Celsius and bake for about 45-60 minutes.
Take the homemade caramel popcorn from the oven and break the pieces that glued together. Put everything in a tightly closed container. Store at room temperature, in a dry and cool place.
